A vaccine protects a character even to those who can't be vaccinated. COVID-19 vaccines work, the vaccines ‘teach’ our immune gadget to swiftly and effectively respond in opposition to it. According to WHO (World Health Organization), the vaccine is made up of the antigen itself so that the physique will produce the antigen, the vaccines will weaken the virus and our immune device can swiftly apprehend the vaccines and it will combat beforehand than it makes us ill.

UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund) furnish COVID-19 vaccines that meet WHO's protection and efficacy requirements and their required regulatory approval. COVID-19 vaccines are secure even even even though they are being developed quickly. They go via rigorous making an attempt out in scientific trials to prove that these vaccines are included and effective. The vaccines that meet the validated standards from WHO are the vaccines that they will vaccinate to the people.

Vaccines are the key for saving a million of people, then again have been COVID-19 vaccines developed so quickly? There are a lot of doubts for the development of the COVAX, on the other hand the who rest assured that the vaccines are established safe. The methodical device of clinical research for the vaccines are slow. The article referred to that the researchers ought to learn about first the structure and infectious behavior of a pathogen. Then they parent out how to get the human physique to best produce an immune response to combat in opposition to the virus. Next, they tested the vaccines for safety and efficacy in human scientific trials with thousands of participants.

The article blanketed a sure data for these who will be vaccinated first. The fitness employees at excessive hazard of publicity and the older adults and human beings with sure scientific conditions. While the one-of-a-kind imperative workers, such as instructors and social workers, must then be prioritized additionally if there are greater vaccine doses emerge as available. It is additionally tackled about the distinct problems of people for health reputation in their vaccination. In this article, it was without a doubt stated that human beings with severe allergic response to the vaccines and currently experiencing symptoms of the stated virus. People who used to be identified have to also get vaccinated; they nonetheless prefer this vaccine to be their protection certainly to make positive they will no longer be COVID-19 victims again.

The article cited that researchers are in modern times analyzing COVID-19 vaccination for the breastfeeding women. WHO advises that vaccinations are furnished if a lactating woman is section of a precedence team for vaccinations. For example, there is a health worker. After her vaccination, she'll proceed in her breastfeeding and it is additionally first-rate way to defend her baby from illnesses and to assist them proceed to be healthy. Breastmilk moreover affords antibodies that supply children a healthful enhance and shield them against many infections. It is moreover stated that antibodies and bio-active factors in breastmilk might also additionally combat against COVID-19 infection, if a baby is exposed.

Pregnancy locations at larger chance of excessive sickness in contrast to human beings who are now no longer pregnant. Researchers are nonetheless mastering to understand the safety and effects of COVID-19 vaccination in every pregnant woman, alternatively there is no identified cause that would outweigh the benefits of vaccination for pregnant women. Pregnant girls at increased hazard of publicity to COVID-19 and these who have fitness troubles that add to their danger of severe disease, can additionally be vaccinated if there is a session with their health care provider. In addition, COVID-19 vaccines can't have an effect on fertility there's no proof that COVID-19 vaccines can have an impact on fertility in girls or men.

WHO licensed COVID-19 vaccines are no longer recommended for all of us beneath 16-18 years of age. In the initial trials finished through the use of the researchers, children were now not blanketed for COVID-19 vaccines, so there is no data on the safety or efficacy of vaccines for children below the age of 16.

According to this article, the distribution of vaccines is on its way to the availability globally that varies by using country. The UNICEF is paying for COVID-19 vaccines and handing over them round the world to ensure that there is no america is left in the again of through the help of COVAX facility. It is additionally referred to that their purpose is to make 2 billion doses reachable for delivery through the cease of 2021. Doses are being distributed in every u.s.a. that participating in the COVAX Facility that will be sufficient to its entire populace size.

To conclude, this article on behalf of UNICEF with the aid of WHO, I can say that the vaccines are included to everybody. We certainly desire to comply with what our Government, WHO and UNICEF tells us what we want to do. If the vaccines are no longer but ready, it is a ought to to take a look at the fitness protocols to reduce the instances of the COVID-19 and in addition, get vaccinated when the vaccines are honestly available.

The fourth industry revolution is a concept that upset the conventional view of automation and digitization of factories. In fact, the aim of Industry 4.0 is the realization of a Smart-Factory, where the key stone is represented by CPS in production. In the last section, we have seen how this technology is able to reproduce the factory into the virtual space in order to control and optimize processes second the rate of autonomy of the system. Internet of Things is considered the basis for the accumulation and transmission of information and knowledge among all parties inside and outside the boundaries of the factory. Finally with all features of Big-Data, data storage and data processing, CPS in production is able to identify, and forecast optimal way of working of each module or parties of the factory. In this section, we are going to study a smart-factory embedded of CPS in production realized second three parties that we will see during this paragraph. The revolution is that each physical element inside a Smart-Factory can be considered as an alone entity, with thinking ability through embedded computational power that permits it to be autonomous in its operation. Therefore, during the working day it is monitored by widespread controlling operations. Thus, each element in the physical space has autonomous intelligence and goes to the direction of continuous improvement, in order to fast react to possible uncertainties and troubles.

We are going to analyze the architecture of a smart production plant based on a CPS in production, the pillar is a modular system based on different layers that communicate among them. Starting from physical modules composed of equipment, AGVs, and product parties, the system realizes a cyber-display in order to collect information about them in terms of movements, working progresses, tasks, and skills during the manufacturing operations. Possibilities inside cyber space are infinite, but mainly it connects all parties of the physical space and permit them to communicate whatever modules are collocated. This feature permits a comprehensive and right view of the production plant above mentioned, in addition convert it in a flexible system able to be responsive to troubles. In this section, we want to focus on the composition of a smart production plant and the different stratum that compose it. They are mainly three material, logical and interaction stratum. All those layers communicate among them, exchanging huge amount of information and knowledge.

Starting from the first mentioned stratum, it can be considered as the set of elements that conduct the production processes and all movements of resources required in order to accomplish various tasks. Result easy to understand that material stratum is made of different components, first of all equipment and all machines that realize physically product and product parties during the manufacturing process. Second there are automated robots with the aim of manage and realize the movement of material resources when acquired and transported to the first production phase and finally store the finished product into warehouse. Third, AGV technology that will be studied in deep in the next paragraph, that moves material resource and semi-finished products among the entire manufacturing process realizing a link among the components mentioned above. Given an overall overview of the physical layers assembly shop-floor, we can say that operations (manufacturing, transportation, shifting, storage, and distribution) are settled by receiving and sending real time information and data among entities in order to realize a responsive system. Summarizing, performances of physical entities are mainly two, realization of what was designed and acquisition of information. The second stratum consists in a virtual representation of all components mentioned above of the material layer. In fact, in this layer is expected the presence of a supervisor LU for each physical component, LU has different roles but as we can imagine the first role is supervisor with the aim of improving and link different elements of the physical space. In this space, we have to consider logical unit as a single entity that have strong calculation capacity and thus an intrinsic thinking capacity that is exploited through communication and network among each LU. In fact they extrapolate information from MCs and use those data to generate control interfaces. For instance, LU organize the manufacturing planning for each equipment and the transportation planning for all automated vehicles in order to move workpieces among machines. Thus, LU composed of embedded thinking and planning time capabilities improve and organize tasks utilizing information and knowledge exchanged through communication linkage.

The interaction stratum is realized to permit interaction among the other two stratum. In fact it is based on two gates, The first one take and exchange information in material stratum, while the second gate is exploited to link the logical stratum. The technology is based on WIFI connection and commute information in order to make accessible information of one stratum to the other one. For instance take in consideration the case that material stratum updates the logical stratum about new manufacturing conditions, in this case it is a C-L task to communicate the notice and apply translation process. After that Logical unit elaborates information, and realize a new production template and communicates it through C-L to material stratus. Thus, result of primary importance the linking role of C-L.

In the above paragraph, we have explained the architecture of a smart production plant, that consists in physical elements which perform vital activities for production process. After that, there are logical units embedded of computational power, that are dislocated control interfaces that interact among them and regulate the behavior of MCs and AGVs. Features mentioned above are the basis for the development of a Smart-Factory, in unpredictable context. In fact, it needs to be a flexible system, founded on the capabilities of self-regulation and self-adaptation in order to not suffer uncertainties and troubles. The final aim is to realize an intelligent production plant, realized on autonomy and thinking capabilities, which can be summarized inside a production system called NEIMS based on the functioning of a biological system. Inspired by the above mentioned biological system, we are going to propose a production paradigm based on the functioning of human neuro and hormone setting in order to react to troubles and uncertainties of production context. The system based the regulation and the productivity of entities inside the plant through implied commands typical of biological regulation. As above explained even this system is based on diffused control interfaces, embedded of thinking capabilities and computational power. Monitoring physical elements understand disturbances in the context in which operate and self-regulate the system independently. Now we are going to explain how the neuro control and hormone regulation system work inside a production plants based on the architecture explained above. During the regular proceeding of the production process the system uses a normal biological monitor, therefore in case of unexpected and critical situation in order to react to it, the NEIMS utilizes the hormone regulation bringing thinking capabilities to each LUs, which communicate, cooperate, and take a decision to self-react to disturbances. Think about the cycle of client order. All start from an order on the web-site through a smart-phone, this one arrives to the production plan and it has to be elaborated. LU analyze the order and find all the needed functions and manufacturing processes in order to make it. Second the date, that the product must be delivered to the client, LU organize with its embedded data processing the plan template for the production of the product. Taking in consideration the case of an order with no critical delivery date. The system put in list the order, and through ordinary biological control paradigm organize and establish the perfect production schedule. Therefore, can happen that the company was not able to manage the order of the client, and it is translated in an urgent order, because there is few time in order to produce and delivery at the established date. In this case, logical units upset the normal order of work and regulate the new way of working through hormone regulation. In this way, LUs store real-time data and elaborate them, in order to re-organize and re-schedule the production template and be able to face rush-orders or whatever difficulty. In the following figure, it is represented a possible case of unforeseen challenge and difficulty on the functioning of a machine. Starting from this figure, we want to analyze as the NEIMS system face problems keeping a huge level of productivity and efficiency.

From the picture above, result easy to understand that there are problems on the functioning of the machine number three, those data about malfunction are transferred to respective logical unit. In this phase, result essential a re-programming of the normal way of working, in order to complete and restore the affected product in an efficiently manner. Production schedule is re-planned and production process is left to machine one and consequently, movements of workpieces are re-scheduled by the logical unit of AGV number one that transmit the task to the AGV1 that executes the transportation. In conclusion, the product was created by machine one, making possible the production without losing time and respecting the delivery date. Through the examples show before, we can say that systems based on biological control and regulation improve the capabilities of the production plant in terms of reasoning, intelligence, and reactivity. Therefore, NEIMS is not finite in managing rush orders or machines faults, rather it can be used to explore and develop future production solutions able to react promptly to challenges and unexpected disturbances of market context.

In this section, we are going to analyze a practical example of the Cyber-Physical System in production developed before. The aim is to understand if the system can be considered achievable and if it leads to incredible results mentioned above. The architecture of the system remains the same, divided in three layers respectively physical, logical, and communication. Therefore, in order to go in deep with this experiment we are going to consider a series of suppositions and rules that cannot be overcome. Starting from the first:

  • Transportation robots move one product or pieces of product for each delivery;
  • Automated guided vehicle remains at the same point, after that it concludes the movements of workpieces. Waiting for future orders;
  • Equipment inside the production plant executes one task for each time scheduled;
  • Product processing needs a lot of tasks in order to be finished. Each task has been done by a different MC at the corresponding scheduled time;
  • Before the execution of work, machines do not require any type of regulation reducing at minimum rump-up time.

The system is composed of 2 transportation vehicles and 4 machines dedicated at the manufacturing process, each of this machine executes its own task. After that, we distinguish the following table 4 for ordinary order, while Table 5 for unexpected orders, finally in the last table transportation schedule of automated guided vehicles.

During the practice was introduced an unexpected order in the production plant at time seventies. The system immediately react to the challenge, in fact all logical units started to interact and exchange information through data accessing and data processing in order to reschedule the production process. LUs communicate the new production template to MCs that execute the operation and indicate the new production circumstances to logical units. All this interactions are possible through the communication layer that keep in contact each element inside the factory homogenizing programming language among different layers. The work time template for re-programmed activities are illustrated in the following picture.

Through this experiment, we can easily conclude that Smart Factory can be realized bringing intelligence and thinking capabilities to each element of the production plant. Cyber Physical System in production is the main pillar in order to reach and realize an intelligent smart factory based on the features of flexibility, continuous optimization, and self-adaptation to the dynamic context in which operate. Result of primary importance, the realization of a modular system based on diffused control interfaces that analyze the situation, and are embedded of computational power, thus decision-making capability.

Dear Visa Officer,

Get original essay

I would like to take this time to express my appreciation to you for taking your time to review my study plan for my re-application for a student visa permit.

I am applying for this student permit as my previous was application was turned down due to reasons that I have addressed in an attached letter. The purpose of this letter is to explain why I chose Canada as my study destination and explain my choice of study.

Pursuing my study in higher education in Ontario, Canada in the Building Construction Technician program at the Algonquin college of applied arts and technology is a chance for me to represent my country at a larger stage and a chance to prove to my family and country that I can climb the ranks and create a legacy for myself

Canada is a great country to pursue education as it is ranked among the best countries to study in, plus it is comparatively cheap hence my choice of study and it is vastly multicultural, thus I would really like to meet people from a vast majority of culture as I can learn new practices and extend my knowledge not only to professional practice but also to social relations.

Thus why I would like to pursue my education in the program I was accepted to in Canada.

My overall education goal is more and more about getting practical knowledge. So after I finish my studies in Canada I would like to come back to my country since I would have the legal age of working and start gaining experience in the field as soon as possible for there would be a multitude of opportunities for me since I am confident of my relations and connections home. If possible I would like to attend workshops and events all around the world to gain more practical knowledge and if possible around a few years into my practice I would love to get a master’s degree from Canada, the US or a good engineering school in Europe and later in life I would love to become an educator and transfer my lifelong practical knowledge to fellow Rwandans and Africans.

The Building Construction Technician program offers a more comprehensive introduction to the construction industry through both a hands-on approach and applied theory, and I would love to benefit from that since I would also have a Canadian diploma which is highly valuable in my home country. Additionally, I would love to attend the program since I would be available for the market in two years ready for my 18th birthday and start benefiting with the hands-on experience I will be gaining all throughout the practice. Finally, none of what is mentioned above is available in my home country hence looking for a good opportunity beyond and benefiting it from it earlier in my career, so the sooner the better.

My country has one public institution of higher learning known as the University of Rwanda and multiple other private institution including two internationally recognized universities. The University of Rwanda offers a multitude of opportunities ranging from three-year business degrees in the school of business and economics to four and five-year computer and engineering degrees in the school of science and technology, together with a multitude of other three, four and five-year bachelor degrees not mentioned it also offers masters degrees for a limited range of courses but very beneficial ones indeed.

There are also a multitude of privately owned institutions which I would preferably not mention for the benefit of your valuable time, instead jump right to the two internationally recognized institutions which are the great African Leadership University Rwanda campus and never the less the great Kepler University these schools offer the benefit of internationally recognized degrees and I have had the privilege to get admitted in both but unfortunately their courses and aspirations do not match my career goal since none of them offer any courses related to the construction industry so I had to drop them. Thus I have produced a little bit of insight into the Rwandan higher education system for more info you can visit the study in Rwanda website.

The very exceptional thing about this diploma program is that even if I come back without necessarily pursuing a degree program I would still have a higher chance of getting employment status than a local engineer due to the high necessity of international expertise. Additionally, I am a well-connected individual and I believe this degree would offer me not only the chance to get employed but the chance to enhance my knowledge early in my career since I would be a very young man entering a career which offers vast opportunities not only in my country but in a vast number of African developing countries.

I have two brothers and two sisters; my oldest sister is a graduate from a US university and is the one who influenced me to apply in Canada and all along down my career path. Both the youngest brother and sister are still very young kindergarten attendees and my very next sibling is just entering high school recently. My mother is the marketing manager in a private sales and marketing company and my father is a senior officer in the Rwandan army now on duty in the UN as a military observer in the UN peace corps.

I have a high school diploma which I obtained at the College Saint Andre located in Rwanda Kigali city in the Nyarugenge County on the KN 135 Street I graduated on the 1st December 2018 in Physics, Chemistry and mathematics, and I did extremely well in my final Advanced level exams hence convincing my parents to fund me for higher education in Canada.

I would like to take the time to express my gratitude towards you again for taking the valuable time to review my study plan for my study permit application and I would like to humbly request for my application to be reconsidered, I am looking forward to an answer from you.

Stephen Crane, in "The Red Badge of Courage", makes numerous references to flags ...

Stephen Crane, in "The Red Badge of Courage", makes numerous references to flags, references that are all fraught with meaning. Flags themselves hold a great deal of symbolic value. They began as a way to distinguish tribes in battle, but came to symbolize "the hopes and aspirations, the joys and sorrows, the romance and chivalry, of the human race" (Moss 1). During the American Civil War, when "The Red Badge of Courage" takes place, flags gained a great deal of import. "The Civil War generation accorded their flags more importance than subsequent scholars have allowed. They recognized the powerful ways that these emblems...elicited military courage in battle" (Moss). Crane's flags, however, do not simply communicate valor; they are representations of the regiment's, as well as an individual's, spirit and pride, and are implicit symbols of power and control. Furthermore, they signify an untouchable glory and a potent god.

The dominant feature of a flag is its color. Crane rarely assigns the flags in his text specific colors, often referring to them simply as "the colors" - a common phrase during the Civil War. Because they are so rare, the moments that he does describe the color of a flag are given more weight. Though neither the war, the battles, not the armies are named in the novel, it is based loosely on the events of the Civil War Battle of Chancellorsville (May 2-6, 1863)". Knowing the date tells us which flags Crane was working with. Henry's flag, the Union flag, was not unlike the flag we use today. It had thirteen stripes (seven red and six white) and thirty-four stars, arranged in five horizontal rows (the first, second, fourth and fifth rows having seven stars each, and the third, middle row having six stars) (Moss 25). The Confederate flag - or the enemy flag in the text - was a newer development. It had changed from the "Bonnie Blue Flag" (a single white star on a royal blue field) to the "stars and bars" only two months prior to the events described in the text. Because of its similarity to the Union flag, there was considerable confusion on the battlefield (wildrebel.com). In fact Henry, at times, cannot distinguish between the two flags. In these moments, the war seems confusing and vast, a chaotic din of purposeless fighting.

When a specific flag is described, the effect is particularly powerful. The first reference to any individual flag describes the stripes, not the color. As a regiment flees the scene of a battle, the billowing smoke was filled with horizontal flashes. Men running swiftly emerged from it (Crane 79). This evokes the image of a giant field of stripes, presumably red and white, from which men are escaping. Red, in this book, often signifies blood; here, it refers to the blood of the losing Union regiment. This is one of only two references to the stripes; there are none to the stars, or even to the blue field on which the stars rest. This is because Crane wants to emphasize the bloodiness that the flag represents. When Crane refers to the stripes later, he says that they are "red and white, hating and loving" (Crane 179). This introduces the idea that red and white are contrasts, rather than complements.

The flag represents more than just positive emotions - it symbolizes a range of emotions that begin with love and end with hate. One point at which Henry becomes uncertain about flags occurs during a second charge: "The youth could not tell from the battle flags flying like crimson foam in many directions which color of cloth was winning" (Crane 197). The Union and Confederate flags are mingled, and are described as "crimson foam". The word "foam" brings to mind water, or even the sea - here, a sea of blood. The closest association with blood occurs when Wilson, Henry's friend, has captured the enemy flag from the rival color bearer:

He pulled at it and, wrenching it free, swung up its red brilliancy with a mad cry of exultation even as the color bearer, gasping, lurched over in a final throe and, stiffening convulsively, turned his dead face to the ground. There was much blood upon the grass blades. (Crane 205)

The red brilliance of the flag is recalled by the red blood staining the blades of grass. In his fit of ecstasy, Wilson is immune to the grotesqueness of the horrible death scene he has just witnessed. The first sentence of the passage is quite complex: there are four commas, and it details the seizing of the flag as well as the complicated and drawn-out death of the bearer. The second sentence, however, is weighted with simplicity - it is made up of entirely monosyllabic words, and there are no commas or other punctuation. The war is bloody, but the men are blinded by this glorious symbol.

The glory of the flag is reflected in the recurring combination of the flag and the sun. Crane bathes the flag in sunlight, creating a splendid, warm effect. Just before Henry deserts his regiment, he sees the flag in the battle: it "was sometimes eaten and lost in this mass of vapor, but more often it projected, sun-touched, resplendent" (Crane, 92). Later, once Henry has joined a group of soldiers and sits watching another group of men eager to go to battle, he becomes extremely envious: "He felt that he was regarding a procession of chosen beings. The separation was as great to him as if they had marched with weapons of flame and banners of sunlight" (Crane 123). Crane uses the flag in the sun to represent glory: glory in the majestic sense, glory that is far-reaching and unattainable. To Henry, the flag appears sun-touched because he will not be a part of the battle - he will flee, turning his back on the golden honor that the flag represents. When he sees others marching toward that honor, he imagines their flag as pure sunlight. Just as the sun is brilliant, so is the flag, and just as the sun will burn one who reaches for it, so will this flag burn Henry, because he has given it up.

The Union flag symbolizes what Henry has relinquished, and Crane conjures another flag to give this idea emphasis. He uses flags to show the spirit of Henry, the spirit of the regiments. When Henry is walking dejectedly with the procession of injured men, the tattered man tries to find out precisely where his wound is. Henry becomes irritated because, of course, he has no wound. He says that his companions "were ever upraising the ghost of shame on the stick of their curiosity" (Crane 120). This image of a flag waving Henry's translucent shame upon it is powerful: his shame becomes a tangible entity. Also, it is important to note that this is the only flag that is mentioned during Henry's time with the injured troops. This is because the flag represents the fighting spirit, and in this group, there is none. The presence of the flag, and even its physical position, reveal how Henry and the troops feel. When Henry grapples with the idea of being called a "mule driver", he decides to ignore the insult: "He presently wrapped his heart in the cloak of his pride and kept the flag erect" (Crane 183). Because he decides to remain unnerved, the flag remains standing. Several times, the tilt of the flag is mentioned when referring to battle charges: "a flag, tilted forward, sped near the front" (Crane 83); he again saw the tilted flag speeding forward" (Crane 91). The flag's posture parallels the spirit of the troops. On a frenzied charge, the flag leads them forward with its tilt; it acts as the men do. When the men have a renewed burst of energy, the flag, obedient to these appeals, bended its glittering form and swept toward them" (179). It seems to not only stand for what the men feel, but to listen to their feelings, and act accordingly. When the youth, as the color bearer, gives up hope during a fight, the flag seems to channel his emotions. He watches the massacre of his regiment, and he did not know that he breathed; that the flag hung silently over him, so absorbed was he" (Crane 198). The flag remains as idle as he does, listless because the spirit of the regiment has waned.

In another sense, the flag embodies the spirit of brotherhood. At one point, Henry loses his sense of self, and "became not a man but a member. He felt that something of which he was a parta regiment, an army, a cause, or a countrywas in crisis" (Crane 84). Civil War flag expert Eric Bonner says that "As blood was not just quickened in the veins by these banners but spilled for them in conflict, Civil War flags became totems of a collective cause" (67). This is seen later, when the men begin to fight selflessly in battle, with no regard for themselves, thinking only of the spirit of the army and the brothers they have found in the men alongside whom they fight.

To further drive home the point that the flag embodies the spirit of the men, Crane often personifies it. While watching the men run from a terrible battle, Henry takes note of their flag: "The battle flag in the distance jerked about madly. It seemed to be struggling to free itself from an agony." Once the entire regiment begins to flee, the flag suddenly sank down as if dying. Its motion as it fell was a gesture of despair (Crane 79). While the flag often reflects what the men are feeling, at other times it seems to control what they feel - to dictate the level of their spirit. At one point, though the battle seems hopeless, Henry "walked stolidly into the midst of the mob, and with his flag in his hands took a stand as if he expected an attempt to push him to the ground. He unconsciously assumed the attitude of the color bearer" (Crane 184). Here, the flag seems to control Henry's actions, though he does not realize it; it forces him to become the color bearer.

Because the flag is seen through Henry's eyes, the Union flag is described as wholly good. When he looks upon the enemy flag, however, it is inimical. Crane personifies it using very negative and intense adjectives and verbs, because this is how Henry views his opponents. An enemy flag "tosses in the smoke angrily" (Crane 78); it is "ruffled and fierce" (Crane 203) when Henry's men attack some color guards who refuse to give way during a charge. The fact that the flags are described to the reader through Henry's eyes is made clear during a scene when he views a battle from a distance: "The detached battle between the four regiments lasted for some time." This battle is only "detached" because Henry is not a part of it. "The youth could see the two flags shaking with laughter amid the smoke remnants" (Crane 196). The flags are neither glorious or inimical - Henry is too far distant for them to make an impression on him, and so they simply laugh at one another.

The subjectivity of the flag is underscored when Henry feels a burst of love toward it during a seemingly hopeless charge:

Within him, as he hurled himself forward, was born a love, a despairing fondness for this flag which was near him. It was a creation of beauty and invulnerability. It was a goddess, radiant, that bended its form with an imperious gesture to him. It was a woman, red and white, hating and loving, that called him with the voice of his hopes. Because no harm could come to it he endowed it with power. He kept it near, as if it could be a saver of lives, and an imploring cry went from his mind. (Crane 179)

This passage reveals several things about the flag. First, it is associated the feminine. This was not uncommon during the war: Bonner says that one effect of giving flags such a feminine gloss was to elevate the importance of protecting them from the 'pollution' of enemy degradation or dishonor" (81). The importance of protecting the flag from the opposition is revealed when Henry's brigade comes upon the aforementioned enemies, who stand their ground with their flag. For Henry, the flag's

possession would be high pride...the rival color bearer was fighting a last struggle...Over his face was the bleach of death, but set upon it was the dark and hard lines of desperate purpose. With this terrible grin of resolution, he hugged his precious flag to him and was stumbling and staggering in his design to go the way that led to safety for it. (Crane 204)

Even in death, the protection of the flag is imperative; its safekeeping is more important than life. While it may be true that some assigned feminine qualities to the flag in order to indicate its purity, that does not seem to be entirely true here. This femininity is powerful - it is invulnerable, and because of this Henry gives it even more power. He is not the protector of this flag; to the contrary, it is his protector. To Henry, as to many of the men, this flag is a god.

If the flag is a god to the men, then the army is a religion. Crane supports this idea in the text: the tattered soldier with whom Henry walks for a while has a face that is described as "suffused with a light of love for the army which was to him all things beautiful and powerful" (Crane 108). This feeling remains with him even after he has been shot and is starved and exhausted, in a great deal of pain. The army hardly comes to mind when something is described as "all things beautiful and powerful", but this is exactly what this man thinks of the army, and it is not by chance that he feels this way. Like organized religion, the army teaches its members this doctrine. At one point, when Henry feels that the army may be defeated, he stops himself from thinking in this manner: "His education had been that success for that mighty blue machine was certain...He presently discarded all his speculations in the other direction" (Crane 128). Just as religious devotees believe themselves to be unfailingly right, so does Henry. This philosophy leaves no room for question; like the devotee believes that he will certainly go to heaven if he follows his religion, Henry believes that he will be led to victory if he follows the army. Every religion is the "right" one to its followers, and every army is on the "right" side according to its soldiers. When Henry's brigade charges, the men reach a state of sublimity at the time of ultimate sacrifice. They rush forward, seemingly eager to give their lives for the cause. "It is a temporary but sublime absence of selfishness" (Crane 176). The idea of charging fills the men with hopes of glory - martyrdom for the sake of the flag is a tremendous and wonderful thing. It is far more noble than lying in wait, because it involves actively making a sacrifice for God. The most sublime of the men, the most valorous and willing to take a risk, carries the flag in the forefront, protector of God.

The idea of the flag as a representation of God is not uncommon: "In predynastic Egypt flags flew in front of temples...and the ancient hieroglyphic that represented the gods was a flag" (Corcoran 7). Later, during wartime, the use of flags as representations of gods and God caught on...the feeling that God...was personally with them on hand seemed to comfort a man, particularly when he stood poised to do battle (Corcoran 7). Indeed, the men seem to feel most reverence toward the flag when they are in the most danger, such as when Henry refers to it as a goddess. At this point, Henry is heading a charge in which he is likely to die. The "intimate act of dying for a flag placed it in a new, quasi-religious catergory of symbols" (Bonner 67) during the Civil War. When his fellow privates have taken a beating after an initial charge, yet must advance again in order to survive (though moving forward may kill them as well), the youth kept the bright colors to the front. He was waving his free arm in furious circles...urging on those that did not need to be urged, for it seemed that the mob of blue men...were again grown suddenly wild with an enthusiasm of unselfishness (Crane 202).

Here, we see again the sublime act of sacrifice, led by the flag, for the flag.

The Flag is a many-faceted character: it is many things, and yet it is nothing at all. Crane enforces his ideas without actually stating them directly. The flag is a bloodthirsty, pitiless creature; it is a mirror and creator of spirit; it is a live, feminine embodiment; it is an unattainable glittering goal; it is a god. Crane does a superb job of making all of these things both possible and real.

Quote: “Crater lake. Still defies the limited power of the words to convey the full range of its magic”. Paul M Crater lake national park is an important historical event Social history: John Wesley Hillman, Henry Klippel, and Isaac Skeeters were in search of the legendary "Lost Cabin" gold mine when they came upon the lake by accident on June 12, 1853. Hillman explained that this was the bluest lake he had ever seen, and Skeeters called it “Deep Blue Lake.” In 1862, Chauncy Nye and his group of prospectors saw the lakes blue structure. Nye wrote the first published article about Crater lake, explaining "the waters were of a deeply blue color causing us to name it Blue Lake".

The lake was later rediscovered by two hunters working with road crew from Fort Klamath. Sergeant Orsen Sterns and a couple others came to see the amazing lake. Sterns was the first non-Native American to climb down into the caldera and reach the shore of Crater Lake. Sprague soon joined him and suggested the name "Lake Majesty." In July of 1869, a newspaper editor Jim Sutton and several others were the first to take out a canvas boat onto the lake. Although the many other names for this lake, Jim Sutton named it "Crater Lake" for the crater on top of Wizard Island he described in his article while inspecting the lake. Klamath Indian legend. Crater lake had a Native American tribe called the Klamath Indians. The Klamath Indians had a Legend. Their legend of a raging war between two great Volcanoes, Mount Mazama, and Mount Shasta. The spirits of the Earth and sky often came and talked with the people. Llao was the spirit of the Below-World who lived beneath Lao-Yanina (today known as Mount Mazama). Skell was the spirit of the Above-World. Llao often came up and stood on top of Mount Mazama, and his head would touch the stars near the home of Skell. There was no lake then, just a hole through which Llao passed to see the outside world. One day, Llao saw Loha, daughter of the Klamath Indian chief, and fell in love with her beauty. She rejected him because he was ugly and was from the Below-World. He got angry and swore that he would take revenge on her people. He tried to destroy the people with the curse of fire. The chief needed help from Skell. Skell descended from the sky to the top of Mount Shasta. Skell and Llao were thundering and trembling the Earth, hurling red-hot rocks back and forth to each other (from Mount Shasta to Mount Mazama), causing great landslides. A terrible darkness spread over the area for days. All spirits of Earth and sky took part in this battle, creating intense fear among the people. Attempting to calm the ferocious volcano gods and to make up for the sins of the tribe, two medicine men offered to sacrifice themselves and jumped into the pit of Below-World. Impressed by their heroic sacrifice, Skell fought even harder. He finally defeated Llao, driving Llao deep down into the Below-World. He collapsed the top of Mount Mazama to imprison Llao forever beneath the world. Skell wanted peace and tranquility to cover up this dark pit, so he filled it with the beautiful blue water.

Geologic History: Geologic history. The crater lake national park is located in Klamath Oregon. Crater lake particularly fills a type of volcanic depression called a caldera that formed by the collapse of a 12,000 ft volcano known as Mount Mazama during an enormous eruption about 7,700 years ago. The caldera-forming eruption of Mt Mazama changed all the landscape around the volcano. Since the climactic eruption, there has been several less violent with the caldera itself. Mount Mazama was a large composite volcano constructed by the episodic growth of many overlapping shield volcanoes.

Climate

Crater lake is a subarctic climate, with the rare dry summer. Its high elevation like all of Oregon. In the summertime, the weather is mild and dry, but in the winter its cold because of the semi-permanent low pressure allows for enormous snowfall averaging 505 inches per year. The snow doesn’t normally melt till mid-July. it allows for substantial glaciers on adjacent mountains. The snowfall from the lakes edges melt down into the lake. To make the lake clear and pure.

Hydrosphere

Crater lake is the deepest lake in the United States and in North America with a maximum depth of 1943ft. The lake is incredibly clear because it gets filled with completely by snowfall. The outer edge of the lake known as the rim rises up an average of 1000 feet about the surface of the lake. The lake becomes balanced between the variations of precipitation and drainage into the lake. A little bit of the lake's water is lost by evaporation. Large springs are at lower elevations around the area of the lake. Springs have formed that lead from the lake but are so only soaked down into the volcanic soil.

Biosphere

The waters of crater lake are home to the unique aquatic ecosystem. The wildlife of Crater lake consists of many species. The moist west winds rise over the remaining parts of mount mazama. Some of the animals that live there are directly affected by the cold weather. Long winters and short summers affect some of their lives. Here are a few animals you might see if you travel to Crater lake. Squirrel, Beaver, Bear, Eagle, Elk, bobcat. This animal can survive in this biosphere because they are used to the weather. They can survive in the harsh winters and through the boiling summers. The animals live off each other, some are carnivores, herbivores and omnivores.

Abstract

You are receiving this letter because I have completed my MyFitnessPal tutorial, entitled “Creating and Promoting a Healthy Lifestyle: A MyFitnessPal Tutorial”. I chose the popular fitness application MyFitnessPal as the subject of my tutorial because aside from having a passion to work with computers, I have a passion for helping others to live a long and healthy life. Growing up I played multiple sports, but it wasn't until my freshman year of college that I had become interested in the fitness world.

Get original essay

At this time I had started to work out with a hallmate of mine at the school that I had transferred to Appalachian from; The University of South Carolina. I had begun lifting weights multiple times a week, and started reading books about nutrition. Within a few months I had lost thirty pounds, and added forty pounds to my bench press. It felt incredible to achieve my goals, and since then I have looked for ways to help others feel the way that I did.

After my freshman year of college, I had started sharing my interests with those around me. I had begun pushing my little brother who was at the time 15 years old, to start working out. He soon became just as interested in getting fit as I was, and this led him to try out for his High School football team. Within a few months he became stronger, more muscular, and had secured a starting spot on his school’s Varsity football team. After seeing how much I had influenced my little brother, I knew that I could help others to achieve their goals as well.

As time went on I began to coach a high school lacrosse team at the Junior Varsity level. I focused immensely on strength and conditioning, and helped my players get in “Game-ready” shape. As the season progressed, the players that I had coached were much quicker, and in better shape than they were at the start of the season. After our final game, at the team's annual Lacrosse banquet, I had numerous players and their parents thank me for coaching that season. This truly meant the world to me. In the future I hope to use my passion to inspire people all around the world to live a happier and healthier life. Through the completion of the three tasks that I have chosen, I feel that the reader will be just as inspired as I was to change their life for the better.

Introduction

The purpose of this tutorial is to educate those interested in improving their health through multiple dieting and goal-setting techniques. In order to propel the reader towards achieving their fitness goals, we will need to use the popular fitness application MyFitnessPal. This tutorial was designed for beginners, but may also be used by those already familiar with the MyFitnessPal application. This tutorial will also include fundamental information for creating an effective diet to match any lifestyle, and can be adapted to meet a wide variety of needs.

When downloading a fitness application, the endless list of options can be extremely intimidating to those just starting out. What I would like to do through this tutorial, is shed some light on how simple getting and staying in shape can be. I also hope to simplify all the seemingly complex vocabulary out there and put those words into terms that anyone could understand. My main goal however, is to spark a fire in those who may have become discouraged in their quest to lose weight.

Useful Definitions

Planning a healthy diet can be stressful at times, especially if you are unfamiliar with how your body works from a biological standpoint. Knowing how the foods that you eat directly affect your body will put you ahead of the game. This list of will give you a number of food, diet, and health-related definitions for your convenience.

According to Merriam-Webster, a Calorie is a unit of heat used to indicate the amount of energy that foods will produce in the human body. The purpose of us taking in Calories through diet, is so that our body can convert them to long-lasting energy through metabolic processes. Although Calories are normally associated with foods, they actually apply to anything containing energy, such as gasoline. The amount of calories we take in daily is extremely important for maintaining a healthy weight, and promoting a healthy lifestyle.

According to Kidshealth.org, a Carbohydrate is one of the three main Macronutrients found in the foods that we eat. They induce ATP production within our bodies through metabolic processes which in turn gives us the energy to do the things that we love. The two main forms of carbohydrates are sugars (ex: Fructose, Glucose, and Lactose) and starches which are found in grains, rice, cereals, and starchy vegetables like corn.

According to Genetics Home Reference, a section of NIH.gov, Proteins are large complex molecules that play extremely critical roles in the body. They do the majority of the work in our cells, and are required for the structure, function, and regulation of the body's tissues and organs. Proteins are made up of smaller units, known as amino acids. There are over 20 types of amino acids, designed to help carry out different functions such as nutrient transport, and antibody production. Proteins are the building blocks for the body's Muscular System, and a high protein diet is the best way to build and increase muscle size and density. Some foods with a high protein content are: Chicken, Beef, Fish, Beans, Legumes, and Greek Yogurt.

According to Medline Plus, a section of NIH.gov, Fats are a type of nutrient that gives our body energy, and helps it to absorb vitamins and nutrients. There are many different types of fats, such as Saturated Fats, Monounsaturated Fats, and Trans Fats. In order to maintain a healthy diet you should try to avoid foods rich in Saturated Fats such as butter, shortening, and lard. Trans Fats are found in foods rich with hydrogenated oils such as cookies, french fries, and potato chips, and should be avoided as well.

Contrary to popular belief, fats are not the root of all evil for those on a diet. Studies have shown that diets rich in healthy fats, and low in carbohydrates are extremely effective for weight loss.. This style of dieting is known as “Keto” because it induces a state in our body known as “Ketosis”. Healthy fats can be found in Olive Oil, Eggs, Nuts, and Avocados.

This is the amount of calories that you should eat after factoring in your daily exercise. For example if that your Calorie requirement for the day was 2800 calories, and you were to lift weights for an hour; you would burn around 200 calories. In order to meet your Net Calories for the day, you would need to eat 200 more calories than you normally would, which in turn would bring your total Daily Caloric Intake up to 3000 calories.

Task One: Creating an Account

Following the assumption that you have already installed MyFitnessPal for the Android Platform, the following instructions will teach you how to create an account. If you have not yet downloaded the MyFitnessPal application, please access the Google Play Store and do so.

  1. Click on the blue-colored box that reads “Sign Up”.
  2. Select “Sign Up with Email”
  3. Select your Primary Fitness Goal; ex: “Lose Weight”, “Maintain Weight”, or “Gain Weight”. Then select “next”.
  4. Select your Activity level. This will depend primarily on your occupation, as well as how much time you spend on doing physical tasks daily. Then select “next”.
  5. Enter your height.
  6. Enter your current weight. If you are unsure of your exact weight, please give a rough estimate. This option is changeable later on. Then select “next”.
  7. Re-enter your email address, a desirable password, a Username, and the Country that you reside in. Then select “Next”.
  8. Congratulations, you have created your very own MyFitnessPal account. On the following page, your daily net calorie goal will be shown. In order to move on to the second task, please select “Start Tracking now”.

Task Two: Selecting Your Fitness Goals

After creating a MyFitnessPal account, you are given the ability to select your goals in order to create an identity for yourself within the application. The goals that you choose will in turn change your daily caloric needs and the amount of each Macronutrient (Carbohydrates, Fats, and Proteins) that you will need to consume daily. In this task, you will learn how to use MyFitnessPal as a tool to accomplish your fitness goals.

  1. From the Home page of MyFitnessPal, click on the three lines in the top-left corner of the application next to the MyFitnessPal logo. After completing this step, a tab will open up that includes your Username and how much weight you have gained/lost so far.
  2. Select “Goals” and move on to the next step.
  3. Now you will see three separate sections. At the very top your goal weight, current weight, weight loss goal, and activity level is shown. In Task One you entered in your current weight. Here you can both change your current weight and select your goal weight. By entering in your goal weight, MyFitnessPal will slightly change your Daily Caloric.
  4. Next you will find a section entitled, “Nutrition Goals”. Here your “Net Calories Consumed” is shown.
  5. Below your “Net Calories Consumed”, the application will display the particular number of each Macronutrient that you should consume in grams, as well as the percentage of each in relation to your overall diet. In order to change the percentage of a particular macronutrient, click on that macronutrient and either raise or lower its percentage. However, the three will still need to total up to one hundred percent. For example, if you were to change your Protein intake to forty percent of your overall diet, you would have to change your percentage of Carbohydrates and Fats so that they make up the other sixty percent.

Task Three: Your First Day of Eating

Now that you have created a MyFitnessPal account and selected your fitness goals, lets to move on to the most important part of the tutorial; tracking the food that you eat. At a glance, entering all of the things that you eat into a phone application seems strange. I promise that this is the best way to keep proper track of your dietary needs, and ultimately conquer the fitness goals that you have set for yourself.

  1. First off, select “Add to Diary”. In your diary, you have the ability to add entries for the foods that you have been eating throughout the day. You can either scan the food’s barcode, or manually enter it by using the in-app search function.
  2. Now you are going to add a meal under the “Lunch” sub-section. To do so, select “Lunch” within the list of sub-sections.You will be brought to another screen that has five tabs at the top. These tabs are entitled: Recent, Frequent, My Foods, Meals, and Recipes. Familiarize yourself with each of these tabs, and move on to step number four.
  3. Now we will discuss the search box. Here you can specifically search for a food of our choice. In the search box, enter in “Quaker Oats” and select the magnifying glass to the side of the search box.Your entry will now be run through MyFitnessPal's database, and the foods with the most similar names to your entry will be shown. Select the search result “Rolled Oats” and move on to step number five.
  4. Here you can see the serving size, and nutritional facts of the “Rolled Oats” that you have selected. Pay special attention to the number of Calories that the entry contains, as well as how many grams of Carbohydrates, Proteins, and Fats it has in it. To add it to your diary, select the check mark in the upper right hand corner.
  5. Congratulations, you have completed Task number Three! Now go ahead and practice filling up your diary with different kinds of foods.

Conclusion

Congratulations! You have completed all three tasks within “Creating and Promoting a Healthy Lifestyle: A MyFitnessPal Tutorial”. In this tutorial you have completed three key tasks. The first task, taught you how to create a MyFitnessPal account by using an existing email address. The second task taught you how to select your fitness goals and enter them into MyFitnessPal in order to stay on track. The third task taught you how to input foods using the search feature, and how to use the various tabs and sub-sections to track the foods that you consume.

The interest in space and space travel increases with the influence of the films taken, which in turn leads to the question of how applicable the concepts in such films are. In this article, let's take a look at whether the artificial gravity spacecraft mentioned in Interstellar is logical.

Get original essay

As space travel does not have gravity effect, it is inevitable that people who are going to go on such trips will encounter problems such as bone loss and loss of muscle mass in the long term. The crew of the International Space Station (ISS) is exercising at regular intervals to eliminate or at least reduce these effects. However, these exercises are still not the definitive solution of the problem.

If you're going to have to live in a non-gravity environment for a long time, you'll need to look for a way to create gravity, artificially. In many films, an artificial gravity joker is used to solve this problem. In fact, creating artificial gravity is a laborious task, but there are still a number of ways.

Crazy Ideas

One of them is artificial gravity with linear acceleration. The vehicle gains a constant speed and exerts a counter-direction force on the objects inside. This is the same as you feel in a car that suddenly accelerates. The only difference is that this event will be done continuously in space. However, due to the fact that a vehicle is the maximum limit to which a vehicle can accelerate, and due to orbital mechanics, the area of ??use of such a vehicle is restricted to certain intervals of long interstellar travel. In other words, although this approach may be a solution, it is practically impossible to maintain it without stopping.

Another proposed method is to create an artificial gravity by utilizing the diamagnetic or paramagnetic properties of the substance. Diamagnetic substances are pushed by very strong magnetic fields, paramagnetic substances are drawn. Differences with normal magnetism (ferromagnetism) are small in kinetic effect. In other words, the relationship between a piece of iron and a magnet is almost negligible. For this reason, a spacecraft to work in this way must have very strong magnets.

Another method that is not likely to be seen is gravitational electromagnetism and artificial gravity. It is based on the idea of ??creating a kinetic effect by utilizing the similarities between Einstein's gravitational formulas and Maxwell's field equation formulas. The European Space Agency (ESA) is continuing its research in this area.

Another, at least recently, unlikely hypothesis is to create artificial gravity by manipulating the Higgs field. However, more research is needed to accomplish this.

Rotating Habitation Modules

The biggest reason why this idea has not been realized so far is the financial inadequacies. NASA has had some work in this field, but all of the work on the international space station has been removed from the shelf because it was a zero gravity survey.

However, this did not prevent the use of similar designs in science fiction. One of the most beautiful examples of this 2001: A Space Odyssey named Hal was seen in the famous film with artificial intelligence.

Space Odyssey 2001

Another film with an artificial gravity is a spacecraft named Endurance, which is mentioned in the Interstellar film. The difference is that it is not a space station, it passes through a wormhole orbiting Saturn and goes to another galaxy.

Now let's take a look at how these tools work.

Centrifugal Force

The effect that an object has on the body due to its rotation around a center. It is caused by the inertia of the object. The centrifugal force on an object is calculated by the formula Fmk = m.V2 / r. Here m is the mass, V is the velocity of the object and r is the distance between the object and the center around which it rotates. When you are small, it is the event that occurs after you have tied it to the rope and you can quickly pick up the objects around you. Some of the toys you see in the amusement parks work on the same principle. Similarly, this is the force that prevents teas from falling and pouring when the trays carried by the tea-makers move.

How Will It Work?

It can be difficult to ensure that an object is rotated in space in a controlled manner around itself. Even in the event of a slight unbalance in weight, the vehicle will begin to wobble. Think about the washing machine being thrown into the brick. To correct this situation, very precise balancer adjustable weights will be required. Dangerous situations occur when this is not achieved.

There is more technology to explore in front of our species that must go to Mars and beyond. All we need is a little curiosity and courage. Artificial gravity technology is one of the important and important steps in this way whether or not one of the methods mentioned above.

Introduction

In essence, rape is when an individual is forced to partake in a sexual act without their consent. It includes penetrating or touching the vagina, anus or mouth of a victim; touching the victims penis; or forcing a victim to penetrate or touch the perpetrator’s vagina, anus or penis. The act of touching may imply using a penis, hand, mouth, finger, or anything else, such as objects (Temkin, 2002). There in essence are many negative and life changing effects of sexual assault. The main focus of these paper will be on rape victims. As someone studying law, this is a very important topic to my course since it will provide me with the necessary theoretical knowledge that will be vital to my professional life.

Literature review

There is a lot of research done on rape. It has physical, psychological, and emotional impacts on a victim. These impacts are not generally simple to manage, however with the right support and assistance they can be managed. According to a student done by Dean G. Kilpatrick (2000), rape is of different kinds, date rape, statutory rape, gang rape, spousal assault, prisoners of war rape and jail rape (Dean G. Kilpatrick, 2000). The experiences of rape are not only a physical and the impacts can last for quite a long time, regularly cause lasting aversion sexual conduct and social awkwardness. Either way the victim is left emotionally, physically and psychologically frightened.

According to Bailey et al. (1984), frequently rape trauma can be severe to the point that the victim should be institutionalized and hospitalized so as to completely recover from the experience. Chapleau (2010) found that rape perpetrators are not unknown individual and raoe by fathers, uncles, ex-husbands, husbands, boyfriends, ex-boyfriends and friends are very common. Fundamentally, no one can say they are very safe. As Dean G. Kilpatrick (2000) found out, there were around 18359 cases of sexual assaults. Out of this about 86.4 percent of the perpetrators were known to the victims.

Rape has been found to cause Self-mutilation which is where an individual deliberately or purposefully cuts or harms oneself. The pain felt is seen as a purge or a punishment. Many victims even feel that focusing on the pain from the cuts or injuries helps incidentally forget the pain of the assault itself. According to Bailey et al. (1984), some likewise inflict pain to punish themselves as they feel it was their fault; or they are being blamed.

Consequently, Chapleau (2010) found out that many rape victims are also blamed. There are many who hold the belief in “just world hypothesis,' believing that the world in inalienably just and that people get only what they deserve. Thus, they may have a misguided sense of security. To avoid feeling unsafe, they persuade themselves that they would not be raped since they don't merit it. According to Chapleau (2010), many others believe in discrediting the Victim, saying that their behavior or dressing caused it.

Jennifer Temkin in her book 'Rape and the Legal process', mentions a Police Review extract describing ways of appropriately dealing with rape reports. Some of these reads; 'allow her (the victim) to make her statement to a policewoman and then rive a horse and cart through it.' The thinking behind it is to guarantee that some ‘malicious’ ladies do not accuse their lovers for revenge of in order to secure their own dignity (Temkin, 2002). Laws on rape differ across the globe. For instance, in Pakistan, a rape woman must have four witnesses to confirm that the rape happened. In many nations in the Middle East, honor killings are perpetrated against women perceived to have brought disgrace to their families, because of the rape.

Existing victim recovery programs

Currently, Rape Recovery program provides therapy, crisis counseling, advocacy through the courts and emotional support during recovery process, in addition to information and referrals to other helpful programs. Current rape recovery programs provided in the community also assist with safety planning. As they are, they help victims rape with Crime Victims Reparations which are funds to cater of expenses arising from the crime, for example, mental health and medical costs, therapy, relocation if necessary and replacement of damage items ('Rape Prevention and Education (RPE) Program|Funded Programs|Violence Prevention|Injury Center|CDC,' 2018). It Rape Education program enables teens to make educated and safe choices on relationships and dating. Presentations are provided on sexual harassment, relationships, rape and dating violence. These can be tailored to address the victim’s needs.

Essentially, what is missing in the current systems is that it does not go beyond helping the immediate victim. This programs lack a way of incorporating the family and loved ones of the victims in the recovery process, a factor that is important to not only the victim but also their families and spouses. For instance, if my wife is raped, I am also extremely affected by this and I should be incorporated in the recovery program. This is what is missing in these programs and is the solution am going to provide.

Proposed recovery program

My recovery program is based on what is currently missing in the services provided by sexual assault victim recovery programs. As such, on top of what is currently offered as discussed above, my programs will provide additional services incorporating the victim’s spouses and family. As already described above, the current programs leave the victim’s family and spouse out or even ignore them entirely while only concentrating on the victims ('Rape Prevention and Education (RPE) Program|Funded Programs|Violence Prevention|Injury Center|CDC,' 2018). It is worth noting that even rape victim’s families and loved ones are victims in case of such situation and therefore there should be away that they could be taken into consideration in the whole recovery process.

Research has shown that victim who recover from rape through the available programs face another problem when they go back to the community. One of these problems, which is basically the major one is acceptance from the family and spouses so that they resume normal life. This has been a very big problem that has led to many rape victims never really recovering in the long run.

Take for instance the case where the victim was married, had a husband or a wife, it is always for the victims partner to accept them and life goes back to normal. Research has shown that many rape victims especially those married experience sexual problems in their marriages even after recovery. This is because the victim’s partner might not fully accept them with the new reality. The partner’s sexual activities are affected. This has led to dysfunctional relationships or even divorce. This is due to the failure of the current recovery programs ('Rape Prevention and Education (RPE) Program|Funded Programs|Violence Prevention|Injury Center|CDC,' 2018).

My programs will incorporate family members and spouses in the victim’s recovery program. This is because my program lays much emphasis on acceptance of the victim’s new reality at the family level. This will include services such as family trauma counseling whereby the family will be guided through the process of understanding the victim and ensuring that this understanding leads to total acceptance of the victim.

Secondly, on top of what is being offered, my programs will provide sex counseling for couples. This is always the hardest part for both the victims and their spouses. If left unattended to it can lead to even divorces in a worst case scenario. For instance, a husband might feel that his wife (victim) is ‘unclean’ and this psychologically affects then, consequently affecting the couples sex life.

As already evident, my program is better that what the community is providing right now because it seeks to not only heal the victim, but also heal the family and loved ones. Concentrating on the victims and leaving the immediate family and friends out is proving to be ineffective. For sure, there is not one who can help the victims heal than the family and friends.

Conclusion

Essentially, rape is a major issue in our society today and its effects are pervasive. From emotional effects such as embarrassment, lack of control, self-blame and isolation to physical effects such as a safety concern, being startled easier and change in sleeping pattern to the more serious psychological effects such as nightmares, anxiety, low self-esteem and depression, there is a need to help victims.

It is true that rape affects both men and women negatively, however, one thing we all agree on is that if appropriate assistance is provided to the victims for recovery, these effects can be management and even mitigated. What is important to note here is ‘appropriate assistance,’ not just an assistance. This is important because there are so many factors at play when it comes to rape victim’s recovery.

The current programs provide some degree of help such as hospitalization, institutionalization, compensation and therapy to which all center on the immediate victim. Thus, they ignore the victims’ families, spouses and friends who are the people who are very instrumental in the eventual recovery of victims.

Consequently, my proposed programs is the best since it fills the gap that is there. By understanding the importance of family healing and recovery, my program will provide counseling to those close to the victim such as spouse, family members and close friends. This will help in the victim’s acceptance and the acceptance of the new reality of their lives.

Oftentimes when writing historical fiction, authors take creative liberties in their works. William Shakespeare was no different when he wrote his history plays. In Shakespeare’s English Kings, Peter Saccio discusses such discrepancies. In the course of this essay, the degree of victimization of King Richard II will be explored. As Saccio points out, “Richard was the victim of multiple treacheries in Wales, whereas Shakespeare’s Richard, although in a difficult position, is challenged by more honorable opponents and accompanied by more faithful supporters” (Saccio 30). The paper will pursue an answer to the purpose of Shakespeare’s modification of history in Richard II, and will analyze how those changes affect the play.

First it is important to outline the discrepancies—that is, to contrast the real figures with Shakespeare’s characters in light of their relationships with Richard. According to Saccio, Northumberland promises Richard at Conway that Bolingbroke would let him keep his crown and his power in return for his rightful inheritance, but then ambushes the king when he comes (Saccio 29). Shakespeare does use Northumberland in his role as Bolingbroke’s messenger; however, the playwright completely leaves out the ambush. Instead, Richard willingly comes at Bolingbroke’s call, knowing that his reign as king has ended. He remarks to his cousin Aumerle, “What must the king do now? Must he submit? / The king shall do it. Must he be deposed? / The king shall be contented” (3.3.143 – 45). For all his faithfulness in the play, though, the real Aumerle was a traitor. The king’s cousin accompanied Richard II to Ireland, delayed his return, and was the one to advise the splitting and dismissal of the army. After effectively diminishing Richard’s strength, Aumerle went to Bolingbroke (Saccio 29).

Moreover, one of the more peripheral figures, Thomas Percy, the brother of Northumberland, never actually appears in Richard II. Rather, he is frequently referenced by other characters, and is said to have defected to Bolingbroke after Northumberland is declared a traitor: “The Earl of Worcester / Hath broken his staff, resigned his stewardship, / And all the household servants fled with him / To Bolingbroke” (2.2.58 – 61). In history, Percy deserts Richard II at the same time as Aumerle (Saccio 30). Each of these changes were calculated in order to influence the audience’s perception of King Richard II.

Shakespeare portrays Richard II as a flowery, luxurious man, with an almost sinister undertone—it is heavily implied that he ordered the death of his uncle, the Duke of Gloucester—and a penchant for making bad decisions. Throughout the play Richard has a tendency to rely not on himself, but on his disputed divine right, which in the end falls apart. He attempts to force others to understand his rule is sanctioned by God, and promises divine retribution to those who betray him; however, even Richard has moments of doubt wherein he feels abandoned by God or that his divine rule is nonexistent. He laments, “Throw away respect, / Tradition, form, and ceremonious duty; / For you have but mistook me all this while. / I live with bread like you, feel want, taste grief, / Need friends. Subjected thus, / How can you say to me I am a king?” (3.2.172 – 77). The only one other than Richard, it seems, who advocates the sanctity of God’s chosen king is Carlisle. Both in history and in the play he protests Bolingbroke’s usurpation of the throne, though Shakespeare certainly added his theatrics to the affair. Arguably, either character’s views could be an intimation of Shakespeare’s own views on the subject, though it is more likely that he is not a believer in divine rule.

The fact that Shakespeare modifies history to make Richard II seem less of a victim than he really was is a statement in itself. It presents a more favorable outlook on the deposition of the king, though does not necessarily imply he is sided with Bolingbroke. By making Richard incapable of keeping his crown through his own faults, rather than a combination of those and the betrayals of his friends and family, Shakespeare presents a weak, undeserving king. This also may have been mere tact. Perhaps Richard’s having allies is less upsetting for Shakespeare’s audience, and easier to write. Without a support system, Richard would have been truly alone, and the play might have ended sooner and much more morosely.

The degree of victimization of King Richard II in history and in Shakespeare’s work is a slight factor that changed the overall tone and message of the play. In the play, Richard’s one constant was Aumerle, who outlived him and carried on his stance of loyalty beyond the king’s death. It is largely this dynamic that lessens the severity of Richard’s being betrayed, and warps the audience’s perspective of his deposition. Shakespeare used the power of creative liberty to his advantage in this case.

Creativity is not a character trait accessible to solely a few. Research has shown everybody has some creativity, but it has been stifled with the aid of Freud’s wondering that artistry and creativity are related with mental illness and the scientific emphasis on materialism and analytical thinking. An innovative environment requires extra than imparting intrinsic rewards.

It requires rethinking organizational designs. We have made businesses match Newtonian mechanical models through inserting duties intofeatures and human beings into roles with boundaries and a secure experience of control. Leadership in the new organization consists of facilitating shared values. This facilitator ship have to take location in an environment that has relationships that freely share ownership, information, and ideas. Creative leadership should facilitate fine relationships in organizations to produce profitable increase via innovation. We now be aware of that creativity is no longer a character trait that is available for geniuses. Everyone has special understanding and experiences that can be tapped, given the appropriate environment. This environment should be free flowing and non-judging to take humans through the mental block they discovered in early childhood. These blocks are related with the risk of being wrong.

Introduction

Creativity is marked by means of the capability to create, deliver into existence, to invent into a new form, to produce through ingenious skill to make to convey into existence something new Creativity is not ability to create out of nothing (only God can do that), but the ability to generate new ideas via combining, changing, or reapplying existing ideas.

Some creative ideas are spectacular and brilliant, while others are simply simple, top realistic thoughts that no one looks to have thought, of yet. (Harris, 1998). Everyone has good sized innovative capability which includes you the reader, so you must matter yourself and consider it that you are an innovative genius .All you need is to be reawakened and be noticeably dedicated to creativity. I want you to begin wondering now, in the system something new will flow, explore that something new nowadays and you will be a one-of-a-kind persona tomorrow. Creativity is additionally an attitude the potential to be given exchange and newness, a willingness to play with ideas and possibilities, a flexibility of outlook, the habit of playing the good, while searching for ways to improve it, we are socialized into accepting only a small variety of permissible or ordinary things, like chocolate-covered strawberries, for example.

The innovative person realizes that there are other chances like peanut butter and banana sandwiches, or chocolate-covered prunes. Harris (1998). However, it is the art of producing answer to issues with the aid of the force of imagination and reasoning, it is a recreation of the idea looking for to locate answer to some of life’s questions. In a dynamic and altering world, the challenges of man are additionally now not static, they take on new varieties and require a deep innovative thinking approach, it is quintessential to understand that we live in a thinker’s world it is therefore, not surprising to see that the men/women who are in advance are these who see beforehand with the eyes of their mind men and female who have engaged their minds in creative thinking to generate thinking and products, which stand the check of time.

Many humans companion creativity with insight and count on that this is prompted through innovative association making use of formerly unrelated thoughts or metaphors from one discipline to another. Archimedes affords a commonplace example, while taking a bath, he realised that his irregularly fashioned physique displaced a measurable volume of water and that this principle would enable him to work out the irregular amount of gold in the king’s crown, entrepreneurs take bold creative steps but conditions motivate creativity, creativity is, however more advantageous when humans have some freedom however no longer too much; excessive interior commitment to the task; however no longer too excessive a commitment; excessive proportion of intense rewards, however some extrinsic rewards as well; some competition however now not winner take- all competition. Thompson (2001). Entrepreneurial exercise depends on the method of innovation following creativity, now not on creativity alone.

Creativity is additionally a process, creative individual work hard and consistently to improve thoughts and solutions, by making gradual modifications and refinements to their works. Contrary to the mythology surrounding creativity, very few of innovative excellence are produced with a single stroke of brilliance or in a frenzy of fast activity. Much nearer to the actual fact are the stories of groups which had to take the invention away from the inventor in order to market it due to the fact the inventor would have saved on tweaking it and fiddling with it constantly attempting to make it a little better (Harris, 1998).

A product is creative when it is “novel” and “appropriate”. A novel product is original, no longer predicable. The greater the concept, and the greater the product stimulates in addition work ideals, the extra the product is creative. Creativity requires passion and commitment. Out of the innovative is born symbols and myths. It brings to our attention what was once beforehand hidden and points to new life. The experience is one of heightened consciousness-ecstasy”, the celebrated discoveries of man are not accidents the Bill Gate and the computer, Graham Bell and the telephone, Michael Faraday and electricity, Isaac Newton and physical regulation of science, the Wight brothers and Aeroplane. The list is endless. You too can be part of them as you commence to

“Ponder the path of your feet, that all your approaches may also be established.”

An notion doesn’t grow to be an innovation till it is broadly adopted and incorporated into people’s each day lives. Most humans withstand change, so a key part of innovating is convincing different humans that your notion is an exact one – by means of enlisting their help, and, in doing so, with the aid of assisting them see the usefulness of the idea- Art Fry.
