Extraordinary Measures" (2010) is a compelling story of the protagonist, a successful corporate executive, who is forced to confront a devastating personal crisis. His two youngest children are diagnosed with a rare and fatal disease. Not wanting to die like that, John quits work and goes in search of a cure for the deadly virus. He teams up with Dr. Robert Stonehill, a bizarre but gifted scientist, so that they can fight against the medical and corporate systems in a war against time (Goodridge, 2010). The main ethical issue of the movie focuses on the aspect of how far one is willing to go to save one's family, thereby raising concerns about treatment and experimentation, medical research morality, and the conflict of interest involving corporate conglomerates and patients.
